Focus not so Focused

Focus on your present moment and build where you are.

I’m feeling it this week. I’ve had some changes occur and I’m being pushed and stretched in business, school, and in life in general. 

It’s interesting because I know there are great opportunities ahead of me, but just thinking about all that needs to be done can get overwhelming. When I start to feel this way, I “try” to redirect myself to focus on the top 1-3 things that I can do now or before the day is out. I also watch how I drift on social media, by mindlessly scrolling and then looking up and 1 or the whole night is gone.

By being mindful, this helps me to refocus and be in the moment.

There are lots of things that I want to do, but the right question is what is in my power to do now.

I hear from many creators and also those who aren’t in fashion on how to get past the idea phase.

My suggestion is always to get started.

Don’t make this hard. As you’re in action you will evolve, change and do things differently. So be serious about it, but don’t take yourself to serious and get stuck in perfection or decision making.

There are many other ways to get your goals in action. It starts with you making up in your mind that you are all in and want to accomplish it. Know that it is work involved, but you can do it!

I chose this image of me because its me diving back into the world of Manufacturing. It’s been an interesting journey and I’m excited, nervous, eager, and have a bunch of other emotions, but I will not let that stop me from accomplish a dream that I’ve had since I was a child.

Remember you got this. Break your goal down into categories and then into smaller steps for you to work on each week. Then get to work! Be open for change during the process and Let’s Create it!
